Imhotep’s Ahmad 36 pts. Stuns Prep
The 1st quarter saw no shots falling for Ahmad Nowell, in a Phila Pubic vs Catholic school clash.
So Ahmad did what scorers do, he left finesse and went to the grind drawing contact going to the basket,
rebounding and getting put-backs, scoring on transitions,
and drawing contact, shooting 17 for 18 from the line, while scoring 19-pts in the 4th qtr alone.
His 4th qtr assault not only helped whittled down a 15 point lead that Prep controlled late in the game,
But a no quit motivated Imhotep team create late game surges, finishing with a 77-70 win.
Nowell’s 36 points was complimented by teammates Carnell Henderson’s 15 and R.J. Smith’s 10 pts.
St Joe was led by Olin Chamberlin’s 21 and Jaron McKie’s 17-pts.
