Jalil Bethea- Score Lord Part II

In 2003 Strawberry Mansions High super guard Maureece Rice finished as the  leading scorer in Philly surpassing the late great Wilt Chamberlain.

He dominated the Playgrounds. and various summer leagues, It didn’t matter where or what age the competition.

He was the season’s MVP in the unlimited. age group division of the legendary 16th Street Playground at 17 years old.

Maureece’s scoring accumulation is historical at ‘The 33rd & Diamond Street League’ while playing since 10 years old.

He was nicknamed the Score Lord by the ‘MeccaLleague’ announcer Jonezy, at a early age.

Later Ted Silary, the ‘Daily News’ high school sports writer who recently passed also started calling Rice Score Lord, and the whole city picked up on it.

    In 2023 Archbishop Wood rising senior Jalil Bethea is scoring points at a ridiculous volume which is why he is anointed as the Scorelord part II.

In his era, Rice’s scoring totals was outrageous over the course of his high school years as well as the summer leagues.

Jalil in this era is also dominating in high school, but now it’s the invitationals camps, and the AAU circuits where he’s scoring in bunches for Team Final.

Jalil’s scoring at big evaluation camps (“Pangos” and “NBA Top 100″) while also leading the scoring throughout national tournaments (*EYBL” and “Philly Live period”) which has pushed his position on the ESPN’s rankings list from #40 to #09 within top 10 in the country.

His shooting ,athletic ability, flair, has local and national observers loving his game. So now the ‘Score Lord’ part II is in full effect.
