I’ve frequently visited Tasheed Carr’s Basketball skills development program facility where i’ve witnessed some of the cities high potential student athletes go through the most rigorous workout routines.
I got a chance to see that a Chosen League game, with a member from that camp, rising junior Sabria Mann.
Sabra literally left it all on the court while trying to will her team to a win.
I can’t count the number of times she went diving on the floor underneath an opposing player to get possession of the ball while also doing all the other intangible things, rebounding, put backs, forcing turn overs, disrupting passes and just playing lock down defense.
Though her 19 points and being named the games MVP wasn’t enough for the victory, Mann is a relentless player on the floor.
Can’t wait to see her progression this coming season.
