Kiyomi McMiller’s amazing Philadelphia peformance

Host Jeramy Treatman coordinated the 2024 Maggie Lucas Classic here in Philly with an array of talented teams and players from the surrounding area.

But one of the best games, if not the best was between Pa. state ranked Cardinal O’Hara, and N.J. state’s Life Center Academy as both teams battled to the sound of the last horn with Life Center prevailing with a 62-59 win.

And when the smoke cleared, it was Life Ctr’s and Rutgers commit, Kiyome McMiller’s 42 point performance that left the crowd shaking their heads with appreciation. Her intensity was in infectious to her teammates on both sides of the ball. McMiller’s ball handling skills made it hard for defenders to stay in front of her, while her pull up game off the dribble left them to late to contest the shots and in most cases when they did, it didn’t matter.

Kiyomi just seems to find room in the defense to get off every shot imaginable, and when there were no room she created them.

Respect to O’Hara’s Molly Rullo’s great effort scoring 29 points, and playing an all round consistent game.
